2009 Planning Session
A few weeks ago  I took the family and the D40 to the Los
Angeles County Fair held yearly at the Pomona Fair
Grounds.

Overall, I had hundreds of wonderful opportunities for great
snap shops but I did not feel that I really captured the fair
the way that I wanted.

Ultimately, my favorite photos from the shoot where those of
the Ferris Wheel and a Sausage House build for the fair.

I think that I need to spend more time getting to know the A
(Aperture) setting that has been causing me so much
confusion.

I have been bad the last few weeks about updating my website. I have received about a half dozen e-mails
about a new topic of discussion and after doing a lot of thinking I decided to talk about the recent data that
has come in from DQNews (
www.dqnews.com) that reports a considerable up tick in southland homes
sales as of September of this year.

According to the article, "Southern California sales shot up by an unprecedented 65% last month from the
dismal record lows of a year ago."  It also references that REO or Bank Owned properties for sales make
up approximately half of the 20,497 new and resale and condos that have sold since September of 2007.

At our brokerage, we are definitely seeing the rewards of this trends and we mirror the reported So Cal
stats with a considerable portion of our pending and closed sales coming from Bank Owned homes.  
Moreover, the trending is really helping our agents have meaningful conversations with current sellers
about pricing strategies that can either help them enter the market with gusto or stay on the sidelines until
the market rebounds.

Finally, CENTURY 21 Llc, headquarters recently announced a great plan that let's local brokerages reach
out to current home owners who are affected by the downturn but whom (with help from a CENTURY 21
REALTOR) can reach out to government programs (
HUD)and lending professionals (Boulevard
